Aberporth Primary School is situated on the Ceredigion coast, in a small community town, approximately 7 miles north of Cardigan and 6 miles south of New Quay. Being only 100 meters up the hill from Aberporth beach, it enjoys breathtaking views of Cardigan Bay.
Currently, approximately 100 pupils are on the register. It is classified as a Category A school providing education to pupils in the local community between the ages of 4-11 years. Welsh is the principle language utilised in the Foundation Stage (4-7 year olds). In Key Stage 2 (7-11 year olds) English is integrated. Our aim is to ensure that pupils are fully bilingual by the end of Year 6 in preparation for Secondary education.
Canolfan y Don is a unit situated on the school campus. It is a designated facility for pupils with profound special educational needs and is unique to Aberporth Primary School.
The school is a close-knit and caring community which ensures a happy and safe environment for all. The dedicated teachers and staff are conscientious; working tirelessly to offer a variety of experiences and a vast amount of opportunities to all learners.
Aberporth Primary School provides high quality teaching and learning. We ensure equality, access to a diverse curriculum and nurture extensive skills to individuals in order to develop their potential as independent, lifelong learners.
